Working Smarter, Not Harder: Predictive Modeling for the Arts

All fundraising shops are faced with a challenge: How do you reach everybody interested in your cause when you’re operating with limited resources?

The art of fundraising lies in matching the donors passionate about your cause with the opportunity to act. In many constituencies, such as those found in the Arts or in Healthcare settings, the sheer volume of potential prospects can be overwhelming, especially considering so many fundraising shops are perennially understaffed.

Research and prospect management professionals are already adept at applying data mining techniques to segment and prioritize these large populations. This includes looking at factors like giving history, event attendance or visits, or external data sets like wealth screening.

In this presentation, we will discuss optimizing the prospect pipeline by quantifying engagement and likelihood using your own internal data (the ultimate proprietary dataset) for predictive modeling. Liz Heinitz from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra will share real world outcomes and use cases, and discuss the leg work involved in getting started and generating buy-in.
